Wolfgang Gartner vs. Joey Youngman

I just needed to share this video pretty quickly for a few reasons. Number 1 Wolfgang has been on my imind lately becuase of his just announced appearance at the Together Festival in Boston in April. That should be fantastically awesome and I can't wait to check it out. He's playing a late night set at club RISE in boston on a Saturday night so it should be excellent. They have also announced Das Racist, Sinden, Congorock, and many many more djs and bands for the festivities. And of course bassnectar is that night.

The video is a tremendous account of Illmerica and you should totally check it out. Pretty wild how much must have gone into this video.

enjoy.

the radio is alive.

So I have had kind of an eventful day night weekend. but i kind of didnt too. strange. (really informative huh)

Anway I am sitting here listening to a new bbc radio 1 show that is being organized by Skream and Benga. (essentially magnetic man) Anyway it is totally blowing my mind. Really, Really good stuff. I have been reading alot about the argument between "real" dubstep and newer "filthier" stuff. While I love my rusko, my bassnectar, my datsik, my flux pavilion, its intresting to see where this stuff all came from and the originators. These dudes from South London are really on top of there shit and know what is going on and how to break it down. It has inspired me to go for a drive as soon as this list finishes to I can bump the bass and ju st cruise around. What I put on my mix cd is kind of interesting but I will cross that bridge when I finish this post. Either Magnetic Man essential mix, or a random assortment. Unknown right now.

On another note, every time that I listen to the BBC it makes me want to travel to the UK and go see some real grimey shows more than I can even explain. The idea of staying with a close friend in London and going to a ton of shows sounds like one of the most perfectly awesome things that I could do right now. In this 'life limbo" as I have so nicknamed it I really feel as though I should be making some of these ridiculous decisions. Like do I really have a good excuse to not buy a plane ticket to London or Singapore right now? Like literally right this very moment?! I always tell myself I can do anything I want but I think its time I should really just do that. And how amazing is this but now that I am 55 minutes into the Benga and Skream mixx they lay on the fact that they are about to play a brand new, exclusive never heard Rusko track?! what!

its time to live and get off this computer. money isnt any good in bank.
