This article made me feel pretty damn proud that I went to Emmanuel College.

I love eating pretzels while thinking of a title.
The end of the summer is rapidly approaching. By rapidly approaching i mean its pretty much here. While the weather is still beautiful (sans irene) september 1st deadlines and the rollout of fall beers in the liquor stores bring with them great change. Its hard to imagine how different next week will be from this, and how different the one after that will be. While I am not sure exactly how long I will stay in Boston with my month to month lease I know that I am certainly looking to make a change to a new location., a new adventure. Something different and challenging in a new location. something kind of ridiculous. something warm. somewhere cold. somewhere fun. meeting new people...some of my friends are moving to washington dc. some have been living there. some are moving to the middle east. some are moving down the street. some are moving back to school. some are moving back home. some are moving cross country. they all sound awesome, I'll just have to find what is right for me.
Anywhoo, I was going to publish this post only with this quote but I started rambling and let it roll for a little bit.
My "roomate" had this on her facebook page and it was the first thing I read. (shes my roomate but shes never home because shes always on really awesome work trips..we have spent more time together at festivals than at home...)
(also an excuse to put a picture of the sooby loaded up for a canoeing trip earlier in the summer...)
this summer magnetic man, nero, afrojack essential mixes have helped put the first 10k miles on the whip. my friend ashleys stack-o mix cd's has helped. kanye and mumford on a double disc has certainly been on repeat lately. incubus is always right there. and sometimes you cant beat the radio.

"Music has always been a matter of Energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."
